Resolvent Estimates and Local Decay of Waves on Conic Manifolds
We consider manifolds with conic singularites that are isometric to R outside a compact set. Under natural geometric assumptions on the cone points, we prove the existence of a logarithmic resonancefree region for the cut-off resolvent. The estimate also applies to the exterior domains of non-trapping polygons via a doubling process. The proof of the resolvent estimate relies on the propagation...
متن کاملA Resolvent Approach to Traces and Zeta Laurent Expansions
Classical pseudodifferential operators A on closed manifolds are considered. It is shown that the basic properties of the canonical trace TRA introduced by Kontsevich and Vishik are easily proved by identifying it with the leading nonlocal coefficient C0(A, P ) in the trace expansion of A(P−λ) (with an auxiliary elliptic operator P ), as determined in a joint work with Seeley 1995. The definiti...
متن کاملResolvent Expansions and Trace Regularizations for Schrödinger Operators
We provide a direct approach to a study of regularized traces for long range Schrödinger operators and small time asymptotics of the heat kernel on the diagonal. The approach does not depend on multiple commutator techniques and improves upon earlier treatments by Agmon and Kannai, Melin, and the authors.
متن کاملThe representation of the Drazin inverse of anti-triangular operator matrices based on resolvent expansions
Keywords: Drazin inverse Anti-triangular operator matrix Resolvent expansion a b s t r a c t This paper deals with the anti-triangular operator matrix M ¼ A B C 0 with A 2 ¼ A and CA p B ¼ 0. Using the resolvent expansion technique, we obtain the explicit representation of the Drazin inverse of M, in terms of its entries and the Drazin inverses of the entries and their compositions. The result ...
متن کاملCobordism of symplectic manifolds and asymptotic expansions
The cobordism ring B∗ of symplectic manifolds defined by V. L. Ginzburg is isomorphic to the Pontrjagin ring of complex-oriented manifolds with free circle actions. This provides an interpretation of the formal group law of complex cobordism as a composition-law on certain asymptotic expansions. An appendix discusses some related questions about toric manifolds.
